King Fahad Causeway:

The 25 km-long King Fahd Causeway links the Kingdom of Bahrain with the Eastern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Crossing the Gulf of Bahrain, in the Persian Gulf, the causeway starts in Saudi Arabia at Al-Aziziyyah, south of Alkhobar, and extends up to Al-Jasra, west of Manama in Bahrain. It comprises two segments, a longer bridge from Khobar to Nasan Island in Bahrain and a shorter stretch from Nasan Island to the main island of Bahrain.

The idea of constructing the causeway was based on improving the links and bonds between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Maritime surveying began in 1968, construction began in 1981 and continued until the official opening to the public in 1986. Since its completion in 1986, the causeway has streamlined commerce and strengthened cultural and social bonds between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

With the King Fahd Causeway so close by, our Park Inn by Radisson Al Khobar is perfect for business travelers and sightseers in both Saudi Arabia and Bahrain who wish you jump from one country to the other. Business travelers can make use of the 7 impeccable meeting rooms and facilities available as well as access to the fresh sea breeze from the Corniche which is just outside the hotel.
