Sightseeing Jebel Al Dukhan situated at 134 m (440 ft.) above sea level, and known as "Mountain of Smoke", is Bahrain's highest hill. To Al Areen Wildlife Park which was established in 1975, the park is perfect for families and animal lovers to explore at leisure and to enjoy the opportunity of seeing the home of wildlife in Bahrain. Take photos at Bahrain International Circuit a motorsport venue opened in 2004 and used for drag racing, the GP2 Series, and the annual Bahrain Grand Prix. The 2004 Grand Prix was the first held in the Middle East.
Visit also the First Oil Well which is situated below Jebel Dukhan. Oil first spurted from this well on 16 October 1931, and the well finally began to blow heads of oil on the morning of 2 June 1932. And go to the Tree of Life which is a 400-year old mesquite tree in Bahrain considered a natural wonder. This lone tree rises from the desert and is nurtured by a source of water the origin of which remains a mystery as no aquifers are known to exist at the tree’s location.
